I can see why you were never quite happy with it. It seems to want to go somewhere but not quite get there. Maybe it needs a change in beat/rhythm at some points.. hard to say.

It's still a good track though and definitely fits the imagery of some parade going on as you said. Always enjoy your work as usual. :)

Agree with some comments that the old one had more energy, but this one just is going for a different feel imo. The way it plays has more the sequel feel to it (coming back to the older themes in bits etc). It's definitely a lot more polished.

Very well done. The percussion and guitar work really well and the vocals bring out the mood a lot, as some others have said. I like it better than the original. :P
