Very cool. Reminds me of music from some of the 90s games I used to play. :P Was this a live session?

NickPerrin responds:

Glad you enjoyed it! This wasn't a live session, it was recorded in a bunch of random disconnected sessions for each musician. I'd love to get some folks together and play it all at once!

It's pretty catchy like you said. :P I thought there could have been more going on (not necessarily more voice/melodies but maybe more ornamentation here and there on the off-beats to add texture). The switch-up at 1:55 was nice - perhaps move that up sooner. The mix and production values were very clean though.

Everratic responds:

Thank you for the review!
I agree that the song could have been better with more detail, especially on the drum beat.

Pretty good already. Looking forward to the finished piece! :)

Bosa responds:

Thank you!

Very pleasant loop. Would be great to hear more from you along this style. :)

Bosa responds:

Maybe I will. If I can learn how to write lyrics, I may even sing you a song or two.

Mix is really clean, nice job. There's definitely somewhat of a retro feel to it as mentioned a bit below.

And yeah, dunno why this is rated down - I'll help you bring it up. :P

headphoamz responds:

Sweeeeet thanks pftq~!

The shift at :25 made it very interesting. Agree with the other comments about more drums/percussion, but it's a WIP - I'm guessing you'll be working on that more soon enough.

headphoamz responds:

Thanks! And yep, still working, appreciate the feedback pftq!

I can see why you were never quite happy with it. It seems to want to go somewhere but not quite get there. Maybe it needs a change in beat/rhythm at some points.. hard to say.

It's still a good track though and definitely fits the imagery of some parade going on as you said. Always enjoy your work as usual. :)

Waterflame responds:

Thank you! Yeah i know right? :| I cant pinpoint what it is.

Haha, very fun to listen to. Awesome stuff! :)

headphoamz responds:

Thank you pftq :D

Very fun to listen to. Love the medieval feel lol

Bosa responds:

Me too. I will never get over how much I love making medieval stylistic choices in my music.

Very well done. The percussion and guitar work really well and the vocals bring out the mood a lot, as some others have said. I like it better than the original. :P

headphoamz responds:

Thanks pftq :)

I can't play an instrument to save my life, but I can keep pecking at those notes until I get them right! :P
